Apple Cinnamon Bundt Cake With Brown Butter Frosting- a moist bundt cake loaded with chopped apples spiced with cinnamon and that brown butter glaze! Simply delicious 😋 I made this cake on my birthday this year and it was all over in no time! So moist and not too sweet perfect for breakfast as well!
Apples, cinnamon, and brown butter! Doesn’t this cake scream fall?? So perfect for the season! Do not skip that brown butter frosting! It’s delicious 😋  The cake is super moist. I’ve used sour cream for the cake to be moist. you could use yogurt as well. And cinnamon flavoring it’s totally up to you. You can omit it if you feel you don’t like it. My husband and my son totally hate cinnamon 🙄 But I love it!
Making brown butter is an art! Totally! That nutty aroma and that color! You’ll love that process so never skip it!
Here goes the recipe:
Ingredients:
Cake:
All-purpose flour- 3 cups
Large eggs- 4 (room temperature)
Baking Powder-2 tsp
Ground Cinnamon- 1 tbsp
Salt -1 tsp
Granulated Sugar -1 cup
Brown Sugar- 1/2 cup
Peeled and Chopped Apples-3 cups
Vanilla Extract -2 tsp
Softened unsalted butter-1 cup
Sour cream or yogurt-1/2 cup
Orange juice -1 tbsp
Glaze:
Unsalted butter-2sticks
Powdered sugar-1.5 cups
Milk-2 tbsp
Method:
Preheat the oven to 350f.
Grease and flour the bundt pan well.
Take one tablespoon of orange juice and mix it with the chopped apples to prevent them from browning.
In another bowl mix together flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
In a bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment beat together both the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Make sure to scrape the bottom in between.
Add one egg at a time and beat well. Add the vanilla extract and give it a stir.
Add in the sour cream and mix well.
Now turning the mixer to low, add the dry ingredient mixture in three batches. Do not over mix.
Pour the batter to the prepared pan and bake for 50 mins or till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Once the cake is done let it cool in the pan for about ten minutes before inverting.
Glaze:
Melt butter till it turns brown and till you get a nutty aroma for around 7 mins in medium flame. Remove from flame.
Whisk the powdered sugar and milk into the browned butter until smooth and pour it over the cake.
