Hot Chocolate Float

Thick and creamy hot chocolate, poured over ice-cream, topped with whipped cream and hot fudge….ohhh yess…Hot Chocolate Float it is!!! 🙂 I would rather describe it as a glass of heavenly rich, thick, creamy, extreme chocolaty goodness in one tall mug. Perfect for all chocoholics, being a hardcore myself! So this drink is no exception and I jus love it!

A quick yet rich drink to wind up an awesome dinner or jus whip it up and sip it little by little snuggled in a couch on a late cold afternoon or you jus don’t need any particular reason to enjoy this awesome drink, it’s very simple and delicious so jus whip it up and enjoy! 🙂

This recipe is very simple, quick and easy. It’s jus preparing the hot chocolate and making a float. The two main ingredient that makes this hot chocolate extremely delicious is the instant coffee powder which intensifies the chocolate flavor and chocolate! Yes! This hot chocolate recipe has chocolate, not little but a lot in it rather than the cocoa powder which makes it thick, creamy and chocolaty.

Adding cocoa powder makes it hot cocoa and not hot chocolate. So try using chocolate to get the rich gourmet taste! I have used whipped cream and hot fudge as a topping for this float. You can try adding nuts and sprinkling cinnamon & nutmeg powder or a few shavings of chocolate too!!

It’s nice to treat oneself once in a while with a rich treat like this!! So try this out and get ready to drown yourself in this heavenly indulgence 🙂

Here’s goes a little teaser of how you can make this awesome drink!

I liked your recipe. Looks very easy to make. Would definitely try it . I would like to know what is half &half.

    1. Aww..Thanks a lot! Half and half is basically a blend of whole milk and light cream. To make it at home just mix 1/2 cup whole milk + 1/2 cup light cream or mix 3/4 cup whole milk + 1/4 cup heavy cream or
mix 2/3 cup skim or low-fat milk + 1/3 cup heavy cream.
