Perfect for all chocoholics, being a hardcore myself! So this drink is no exception and I jus love it!

This recipe is very simple, quick and easy. It’s jus preparing the hot chocolate and making a float. The two main ingredient that makes this hot chocolate extremely delicious is the instant coffee powder which intensifies the chocolate flavor and chocolate! Yes! This hot chocolate recipe has chocolate, not little but a lot in it rather than the cocoa powder which makes it thick, creamy and chocolaty.
Adding cocoa powder makes it hot cocoa and not hot chocolate. So try using chocolate to get the rich gourmet taste! I have used whipped cream and hot fudge as a topping for this float. You can try adding nuts and sprinkling cinnamon & nutmeg powder or a few shavings of chocolate too!!

Here’s the printable version of the recipe:
- ½ cup whole milk
- ½ cup half and a half
- ¼ tsp instant
expressoor coffee powder such as Nescafe
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 4 oz dark or bittersweet chocolate
- brown sugar (to taste)
- a pinch of salt
- two scoops of vanilla ice-cream
- whipped cream
- hot fudge
- Add milk, half and
half, sugar, instant coffee powder, vanilla and salt to a sauce panand mix well. Bring it to a boil.
- Lower the heat and stir in chocolate. Whisk until well combined.
- Add two scoops of ice-cream to the mug then pour in hot chocolate over it and garnish with whipped cream and hot fudge.
